About Ben Kimmel

This is where I come to leave pieces of myself. This is where I discuss who I was, who I became, and who I am now. My name is Ben Kimmel and I am a writer. I am a husband and a father.
I am also sober.
The idea of this page is to create a better readership and raise the eyebrows of different publishers.
Over the years, I have built a collection of short stories, poetry, and prose. I write about the things I have done and the places I have seen. I write about the town I lived in as a boy. I write about my family.
I write about the good, the bad, and all things in between.
This is also where I describe my experience with addiction.  I openly discuss my background with depression and the complication of life on life’s terms. I write about life as I lived it and define things as I saw them.
This is where I will tell the story about The Feetie Monsters, which hide under the bed. I will tell you about the time I waited on a bus to say goodbye to my father, and what it feels like to become a father myself.
This is where I come on a daily basis…and hopefully, you will too.

  1. Ben all the best. Addiction isn’t my issue for me it’s a chronic disease of pancreatitis that at times is so painful I feel hopeless but many times your words have lifted my spirits remind me to renew & keep my faith in God so thank you! Much love💛

  2. Ben how true that piece is!! I love that you are man enough to admit it =)
I love reading all of your work and just have to tell you that you have an amazing gift!!

  3. My mom gets the “daily word” at home (which is a tiny booklet with a special spiritual message for every day of the year). Each month she gets a new daily word, and when I lived at home, I looked forward to reading each day’s message. I always seemed to get something from the days message, whether it be inspiration, strength, courage, or hope. Reading your work Ben, is like still getting my dose of Daily Word. It’s something I look forward to reading on a daily basis. Thanks for sharing with us!

  4. Always reading and enjoying your work Ben. You are an amazing person and I can relate to alot of your writings. So thank you for sharing your life with all of us.
